Earlier this year Google Chrome announced they were going to start showing a full-page warning whenever users are accessing a non-SSL HTTP website or an HTTPS website that’s using an SSL certificate that has not been logged in a public Certificate Transparency (CT) log. Although Chrome is the browser to implement the Certificate Transparency Log Policy, others have agreed to support the policy going forward.

Without an SSL certificate, Google will not only tag your site as unsafe and move you significantly further down in the searches.
